David Simon
Founder & CEO
David Simon established Twin Capital Management in 1988. Mr. Simon started his professional career practicing law in the Corporate Departments of Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison and Rogers & Wells.
In 1985 he joined the Risk Arbitrage Department of Spear, Leeds & Kellogg as head of risk arbitrage research, and in 1987 moved to Mercury Securities as head of their risk arbitrage research department.
Mr. Simon is a Magna Cum Laude graduate of both Muhlenberg College and the University of Miami Law School, where he also served on the Law Review. Mr. Simon has been a frequent guest commentator on CNBC and is a skilled speaker and lecturer.
During his career he has been the recipient of several awards and honors, including being honored by The Young Jewish Professionals (YJP) with the “Equity Event Driven/Merger Arbitrage Award.” Twin Capital also won HFM’s Best Merger Arbitrage Fund in 5 of the last 11 years including in 2022.
He is also a noted philanthropist and in 2001 Mr. Simon formed the David Simon Foundation which provides funding to charities focused on children and overcoming poverty.

Brett Patelsky
Managing Director
Before joining Twin Capital Management in 2012, Brett Patelsky served as vice president and head of merger arbitrage and event-driven situations for Para Advisors where he was responsible for overseeing the research effort and making tactical trading recommendations.
Previously, Mr. Patelsky was a general partner at Tiedemann Investment Group where he co-managed the Arbitrage Associates Merger Fund. In addition, he founded and managed the Arbitrage Associates Event Fund which grew from $7 million to $93 million in assets in 12 months. Mr. Patelsky is a graduate of The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, with a Bachelor’s of Science in Economics.
